General Description: A contemporary styled four star hotel, the 171 en-suite rooms offer four essential items for any traveller with space to sleep, relax, bathe or work.The bedrooms come with either one Queen-sized double bed or within our twin rooms two Queen-sized double beds. All our rooms have limited edition artwork pictures on the walls aswell as a widescreen television and CDDVD player as standard with a selection of DVDs to rent if you forget to bring your own. There is also tea and coffee making facilities a choice of teas and coffees aswell as an iron and ironing board in every room. The bathrooms are spacious with wonderful power showers and specially blended Apex toiletries.For those who have to work a purpose built and ergonomically designed desk and chair to make sure that your comfortable while you work along with free wireless internet access available throughout the hotel.The hotel also provides a choice of dining experiences from our relaxed Metro Bar and Brassiere to our 2 AA rosette award winning Heights rooftop restaurants. From the Airport There are a number of options to arrive in Edinburgh from the Airport either by taxi, by Airport Link double decked bus to the city centre or by Airport Shuttle bus which will stop at the hotel. If driving follow the A8 and signs to the city centre. Do not turn off until you reach the west end of Princes Street with the Shops on your left and the castle on your right. Here you should make a right turn into Lothian Road. Once on Lothian Road make the 1st left turn into King Stable Road. Follow this road straight along and you will arrive in the Grassmarket where the Apex International will be on the right hand side of the road. From Waverley Station Waverley station sits below Princes Street on the opposite side of the castle from the Grassmarket. It is a 10 minute walk to the Hotel, however with the climb over a hill we would suggest catching a taxi from any of the taxi ranks within or around the station.By Car The simplest way to find the hotel is to head towards Princes Street, Edinburghs main shopping street. Once at the west end of Princes Street near House of Frasers Department store turn south into Lothian Road. . Once on Lothian Road make the 1st left turn into King Stable Road.
