General Description: The Hostal Cantbrico was founded in 1890. It is located in the centre of Madrid, near the Prado Museum and the Real Palace.The hostel has 105 rooms all with bath and colour TV. We prepare in our restaurant a daily affordable menu base in typical home-made Spanish food.More than three generations since 1890 has been dedicated to the service of the visitors of this hotel with familiar atmosphere. Most of our visitors are groups of young people, sportsmen and tourists in cultural trip. We like much the atmosphere of the hotel , self-assured, jovial and friendly.A privileged location: What would you like to do in Madrid? If you would like to make cultural visits, the most representative museums and monuments of Madrid are close to the Hostal Cantbrico: the Museums of the Prado, the Museum of Thyssen and the Museum of Bellas Artes San Fernando. Also taking a sort walk you can be in the Palacio Real in La Puerta del Sol, and in the Plaza Mayor.To go shopping you can take a walk to Preciados street, one of the most commercial avenues in Europe. There, you will find all class of stores and department stores. If what you like are the popular markets, you have the Rastro on Sundays, whose nearest referring are Las Pulgas of Paris or Portobello of London.There are five theatres in a radius of 200 meters; Alczar, Reina Victoria, Comedia, Espaol and Caldern.
