General Description: Secluded on a mountainside less than 4 km (2 miles) from Puerto Plata, this resort has seven pools terracing down to Cofresi Beach; complimentary shuttle service is provided to adjacent Ocean World Park. Resembling a seaside village with villas dotting the steep slope, this resort includes five restaurants, a childrenýｳ club, nightly entertainment, swim-up bars, and an underground disco. Decor is Mediterranean-style, with green-and-gold color schemes, wood and rattan furnishings, and red-tile floors. The resort purifies water but recommends drinking complimentary bottled water, which is provided. Sun Village Resort and Spa All Inclusive welcomes guests into a marble lobby under a massive wood dome.
